On Monday, admissions of many students not completed due to a technical error, so the University of Delhi lengthened the last date of admission under the 3rd cutoff list till Wednesday.
Under the 3rd cut-off list, the last date for admission was basically scheduled to be Tuesday and on Thursday, the 4th cut-off list will be announced.
On Monday, Officials of Delhi University said that they found that an approximately 200-meter-long portion of the optical fiber cable that supplies Internet to the University of Delhi had been cut. As a result, the Delhi University server was not working perfectly on Monday. The official explained that Monday’s delay had not been caused by an error in the server.
The officials said that the optical fiber cable problem was resolved which provides internet connectivity to DU. But they did not finish many admissions on Monday.
Anju Srivastava, the Principal of Hindu College said the institute acknowledged a communication from the DU informing them that admissions under the 3rd cut-off list would be continued on Wednesday.
an official from Du Computer center said that internet was close but not the intranet, so aspirants were able to get their admissions approved. but still they couldn’t pay fees for admission and hence aspirant’s admission was not completed.
The DU also provide information on its website to inform students. The notice says to announce that the admissions will schedule for the third cutoff of undergraduate courses is continued till 4th July 2018.
The 4th cut-off list will announce on July 5 night and admissions under it will conduct on July 6, 7 and 9.
