DU Students says “Online Exams are neither feasible not desirable”

Delhi University (DU) has chosen to direct its semester tests on the web, through the open book assessment (OBE) mode that will permit understudies to take the assistance of their course books. Understudies and instructors are, in any case, despondent about the move.

As per information with college authorities, the college should lead tests for about 1.5 lakh understudies on the web. This, as per educators, is an issue since understudies originate from various financial foundations and many might not approach the web, and even power.

Singular schools and understudy associations have likewise passed goals saying they would prefer not to proceed with the online test.

The Jesus and Mary College Staff Association has passed a goals against the move.

“The JMC Staff Association unequivocally accepts that an online assessment, including open book assessment, is neither achievable nor alluring,” the goals said. “Educators’ and understudies’ associations over the ideological range have come to restrict such a proposition, and the JMC Staff Association echoes these substantial protests.”

In an announcement, understudies of Rajdhani College have called the choice “draconian”.

“The choice is draconian and leaves the understudies with numerous difficulties, similar to understudies with poor foundations, absence of continuous power and Internet, no printer, no workstations, no preparation of any such test previously, no help system and so forth,” an announcement from the undergrad affiliation read.
