
University of Delhi recently released a notification mentioning about Open Book examinations(OBE) as an alternative if the situation remains same even after 25th June, 2020. University also notifies to all concerned students that Semester Exams for final year students will begin from 1st July, 2020.
Many students, Student bodies and DUTA were against this decision. DUTA and student bodies like NSUI, ABVP and CYSS are continuously writing letters to VC to withdraw this decision. Students started showing their anger on social media and student power makes a hashtag “#DUAgainstOnlineExams”, is trending on Twitter.
Being one of the leading Media Portal, we have released an opinion form which was filled by 7000+ Students to know what students think. According to the report, 78% student says that online exams won’t be possible because of less technological infrastructure in some rural areas. All Students won’t have Laptops/smartphones or have access to internet connection in there cities and towns.
15% says to take exams online and pass us from the university at the earliest as they have applied for foreign education and have future plans. The conclusion of this survey is that maximum students don’t want to write exams online and very less prefer to write online.
On the behalf of all the students of Delhi University, we will be writing a letter to VC and share the responses of this report for better decisons.
