
As the positive cases of novel coronavirus are increasing across the country,on 14th April, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced second nationwide lockdown to curb the spread of novel coronavirus which will end on 3rd May,2020. Due to the lockdown and outbreak of novel coronavirus all educations institutions along with other institutions are ordered to be remain closed even in the second phase of the lockdown. Government had adopted some measures so that the education of the sudents of schools and colleges won’t get affected.
During the first phase all education institutions are adopting online mode to teach their students so as the study of the students won’t get affected due to the nationwide lockdown imposed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. As now the Prime Minister Narendra Modi had once again announced a nationwide lockdown till 3rd May,the Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD) on wednesday asked all the education institutions to maintain the academic calendar through online teaching as they did in the first phase of the lockdown.
Delhi University plans to take online exams this year for the students of all courses and years. DTUC is helping Delhi University in developing a software which will take this ahead. If the system works then there are high chances of holding exams through online mode this year keeping Social distancing in mind.
Another question which was put in front of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD) was about the plan of summer vacations in schools and colleges which usually begins from last May to July. A senior official of the HRD Ministry said there was no such proposal as of now regarding the summer vacation in school and colleges. The school and colleges had to function as per their academic calander until any further official announcement.
