Delhi University Semester Exams 2020 will not be cancelled this year

Delhi University is considering for cancelling the May/June Semester Exams for 1st and 2nd years due to the recent outbreak of COVID-19. The video conference was done between the officials including Yogesh Tyagi (Vice-chanceller) but Vice Chancellor has rejected this proposal (Confirmed).

Facts which were discussed in the meeting are that the first year students are more then second year students in terms of number. Cancellation will ensure that the next academic session will be on schedule. It was not easy for any university to promote students without having exams but due to the global crisis it may be happen this year in Delhi University.

According to our sources, Delhi University will release a notification regarding the same by the end of April, 2020 on their official website. The cancellation was not approved by the officials and first and second years will have to write the exams. University is also trying to do the process online but few students can not attend the classes online. So, keeping all the issues in mind discussion is still going on.
