Delhi University new syllabus faces backlash from ABVP

Academic council of Delhi University wanted to change syllabus for UG courses. The syllabus chosen was according to UGC guidelines and was based on CBCS. 

The academic council wanted new syllabus to be implemented from session 19-20 but ABVP lead a protest against this outside Vice Chancellor’s office. According to the protesters some objectionable material is added in syllabus mainly by English and history departments, like portraying the story of RSS and Bajrang Dal in Gujarat riots 2002 in a bad manner by English department and many other inclusions also by history and journalism department. 

DUSU’s president, Shakti Singh said that he will not let lies and biased topics to be included in new syllabus.
