Delhi University : Grading system adopted for this year

Delhi University has settled on its choice on the assessment for first and second-year students of undergrad and first-year students of post-graduate. DU won’t take the tests for more than 3 lakh first and the second-year college understudies and more than 12,000 first-year postgraduate understudies.

The choice has been taken because of the progressing Covid-19 pandemic followed by Pan-India lockdown. Given the circumstance, holding pen-and-paper semester tests is “not achievable”, says the warning distributed on June 4. Rather a one-time proportion of “elective method of evaluating” will be embraced.

The notice further peruses:

“The issue was seriously pondered in the bodies based on which it has been concluded that as a one-time measure, elective methods of evaluating for advancement/results will be embraced according to composite configuration for ascertaining the equivalent for the Intermediate semester/term/year understudies for scholarly meeting 2019-2020 so students of the college can take their profession forward,” said the DU notice.

SOL and NCWEB to follow similar rules

Understudies who have been joined up with Delhi University’s School of Open Learning, SOL, and Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board, NCWEB, will likewise be evaluated and elevated to the following semester by similar rules. Be that as it may, the last year and ex-understudies should compose the assessments.
