Delhi university Colleges to start attendance Management system(AMS)

Delhi university has asked colleges to mark student attendance in the new online system from now onward. Under this system, teachers have to mark the attendance of the students just after the class gets over or immediately in the class.

The university of Delhi has also mailed colleges that “… Your admission portal will also serve academic and student life cycle management. Use the system after going to the new section on the dashboard called ‘Attendance Management System (AMS)’.”

This system has faced the criticism from the academic council and executive council members, who have alleged that the decision was without statutory sanction. The aim of Delhi university from all this is to track the attendance of students and help them.

In Delhi university 66% attendance is compulsory in order to get admit cards for the semester examination and many students are detained over it.
