Delhi University Teachers wrote letter to Vice chancellor, Yogesh Tyagi informing the issues of sanitisation in the examination branch as there were 4 corona positive cases caught. They wrote :
We are quite alarmed to know that there have been around four COVID positive cases in the building of the Examination Branch. Some cases have also reportedly come in the Administrative Block.
Here, we would like to draw your attention to an Office Memorandum of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare Vide F No Z 28015/19/2020/EMR-(Pt), Dated: 4th June 2020 with an enclosure on SOP on preventive measures to contain spread of COVID 19 in offices. We request you to implement the SOP in entirety in the university as well as in the colleges. (OM & SOP are attached)
In the light of the different provisions of the SOP, we request you to take the following measures in the building of examination branch and other offices on the urgent basis:

- Shut down and seal the building(s) & open after proper sanitisation and fumigation of every nook and corner. (SOP, Point 6). The whole office complex must be disinfected as per the guidelines of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. (SOP, Point 7)
2.. Provision of hand hygiene (sanitizer dispenser) and thermal
screening provisions at all the entrances. (SOP, Point 4, (i)) - The staff living in containment zones are not be called to the office. (SOP, Point 4, (iii)). The staff with comorbidities and pregnancy are also to be exempted from the office (SOP, Point 3)
- Sanitise the office rooms, furnitures and equipments four times a day (SOP, Point 4 (xvii))
- Ensure regular supply of hand sanitisers, soaps and running water in washrooms (SOP, Point 4 (xviii))
