
The University Grant Commission (UGC) released a set of guidelines this tuesday for Universities and colleges during these unusual times. The guidelines are released to advice universities to conduct semester examinations and admission process for new academicyear along with change in the Academic year 2020-21.
It was mentioned in the report that from 16th March, 2020 to 15th May, 2020 classes will be conducted online and the committee said ” During the lockdown, the attendance of all the students was to be recorded.”
The UGC is also in favour of holding classes 6 days a week even after lockdown to cover the next academic year. Committee also announced to start new academic year from september instead of July but colleges can reopen from 1st August for 2nd and 3rd year students.
