1. PLACEMENT CELL – SRCC

Established in 1926, Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University has constantly striven to achieve its vision of becoming a college of global choice by investing in its faculty, infrastructure, and the students, due to which, it has constantly been ranked as the number one commerce college in the country.

The college has been a host to prominent recruiters like Deutsche Bank, Boston Consulting Group, DE Shaw, McKinsey & Co. and has attracted recruiters operating in varied industries like Consulting, Investment Banking, and Finance, FMCG, Pharmaceutical, Information Technology, etc.

Founded in 1996, the Placement Cell is a student run body which acts as a liaison between the companies and the college. The Placement Cell handles all processes and events from the stage of the company approaching the college to final selections being made by performing the functions of providing technical, logistical and managerial support and acting as a communication bridge, hence, smoothening the talent acquisition process.

2. PLACEMENT CELL – HANSRAJ COLLEGE

A premier and foremost institution within the country – Hansraj College is one of the largest constituent college of Delhi University with over 5000 students. Steeped in tradition, the college upholds the name as well as the ideals of the eminent educationalist Mahatma Hansraj. Constantly ranked amongst the top colleges in the three streams – Hansraj College holds the 3rd position in Commerce, 3rd position in Science and 4th in Humanities.

The Placement Cell, Hansraj College is a student run body headed by teacher convenors appointed by the college administration working towards the common goal of getting all the students placed in various companies. It is a team of 40 diligent individuals striving towards calling the maximum possible companies to the campus for placements. 3. PLACEMENT CELL – HINDU COLLEGE

Hindu College is one of the premier colleges of Delhi University. Established in 1899, it has a long history attached to itself, a history that each member of this esteemed institution is proud of.

Along with a guarantee of academic excellence, the students of this college boast a hallmark of holistic development. An active society culture, accompanied by exposure to the unique parliamentary system, ensures the development of leadership, communication and managerial skills in the students.

Disha boasts of a placement percentage of 95%, launching undergraduates in the career of their choice. The highest package last year was 29.21 lakh per annum, with the average at 6 lakh per annum. 4. PLACEMENT CELL – SHAHEED SUKHDEV COLLEGE OF BUSINESS STUDIES

CDC, The Placement Cell of SSCBS, helps students explore avenues of growth and facilitates an efficient association with corporates to expand learning.

Even with all its challenging papers, rigorous examination systems, unending projects, assignments, case studies, lectures, presentations, seminars and industrial visits, CBS is incomplete without placements. And what facilitates this extremely important factor constituting the USP of the college itself, its brochure and CBSites, is the Career Development Centre.

Apart from serving as the interface between the students and the companies, we, at CDC, offer a host of services in the areas of placements, internships and live projects. We help students explore options through personal counselling and support, alumni mentoring and networking opportunities, assistance in resume building and presentation, conducting mock interviews, and by providing current industry information.

The inherent characteristics of CBSites – initiative, leadership, teamwork and inquisition, are reflected in the working of the team. The team is recruited through rounds of resume shortlisting and SOP submission, GDs and interviews. It has three levels – the organizing committee, the core committee and the advisory committee, and heading the team is a placement officer – who work together to improve the placements year after year. Some of our regular top recruiters include Bain Capability Centre, Ernst & Young, AT Kearney, McKinsey KC, Inductis, FuturesFirst etc.

5. PLACEMENT CELL – KIRORI MAL COLLEGE

Avenues – The Placement Cell of Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi is a student-driven body which is an integral link between corporate houses & startups, and the student body of Kirori Mal College.It is one of the most active cell of delhi university.

KMC is one of the best college when it comes to on campus placements! They have all big 4s and firms for all courses visiting their campus. The average salary recorded for this session is around 3.47 lacs And this time the total no. Of students placed has turned out to be 91 we are looking for a perfect 100 as results from 2-3 companies are still awaited.

6. PLACEMENT CELL – DDUC

During 2017-2018, around 70 students were recruited by some leading companies like Vardhman Recruiters, Concentrix, S&P Global, Royal Bank of Scotland, FIS Global through campus placement drives.

September 14, 2017: To facilitate students, the placement cell organized workshops and training sessions. A talk of Anavi Learning on ‘Jobs and the Skills of the Future’ by Mr. Abhishek Singhal (an alumnus of IIT Delhi, IIM Lucknow, MIT Sloan and Harvard Law School) was organized in association with department of management studies. More than 80 students attended the talk. Given the context of increased automation, driverless cars, teller-less banks, worker-less factories and people less offices, the key skills required from the future job-scenario perspective and how higher education can help in creating challenging careers was discussed.

November 9, 2017: With a belief to give back to the society, Social Internship Conclave was organized in association with department of management studies. Around 10 NGOs including Nasscom, Young Association, Youth for Sewa, Action Aid, Hope Initiative, Little Umbrella, Pukaar participated in the conclave and offered 181 winter internships to students to work for the welfare of society.

Hepta Contino Inc (Education Consultants) conducted a session on education in Ireland. Around 40 students attended the session by Mr. John Korah Chandy and Ms. Nandini Dash.

February 20, 2018: In order to motivate the students to become entrepreneurs, a workshop was organized which was attended by more than 90 students. The resource person included: Dr. Lakshmi Devi, formerly principal, Shaheed Rajguru College of Applied Sciences; Prof. S K Palhan from Great Lakes Institute of Management and Mr. Arvind Thanvi, Chief mentor, Moinee Foundation

February 26, 2018: A workshop on ‘Soft skills’ was organized in which Mr. Manish Raj Sharma from MRS training services conducted it for 60 students to develop skill sets among students so that they can have a positive attitude towards life and various situations.

7. PLACEMENT CELL – GARGI COLLEGE

Gargi College is one of the top 10 colleges of Delhi University. It offers education in the following streams, Commerce, Science and Arts, Humanities. College also offers two professional programmes, B. B. E. and B. El. Ed. and masters degree in English, Political Science and Chemistry. Not limiting ourselves to conventional courses we provide technical add-on courses in the areas of Mass Communication, Marketing and Advertising and Foreign Linguistics. They also have university tie-ups with organisations like Internshala with 25 lacs worth of free training to students. They are open for both on-campus and off-campus recruitment, internships and seminars.  The college placement cell tem is working so hard for better placement s for their entire college students.

8. PLACEMENT CELL – SHIVAJI COLLEGE

With a vision of enriching, preparing and exposing the students of Shivaji College, a community of hard working enthusiasts, Placement Cell of Shivaji College is constantly working to provide better career opportunities, skill enhancement programmes and above all, preparing its students for a competitive world so that they possess all the skills to sustain in such competitive environment.

The cell is involved in organising various internship drives, seminars, informative lectures, workshops, etc in order to provide every possible opportunity to the students in designing their CVs, preparing them for the real world working situations.

This year also the cell has organised various events which includes,

Internship Express- The Internship Fair of Shivaji College: Conducted on February 13, 2018, it was a one-day affair where about 16 companies visited the campus and brought to the students various internships offering job profiles in every field. This drive was a huge success where a lot of students gained valuable experience in terms of how to face a full-fledged recruitment process.

‘Teach for India’ Seminar: Placement Cell organised a seminar by ‘Teach for India’ which is a non-profit organisation on February 1, 2018. The idea was to make students aware of these such organisations and their fellowship program. The students got to know how the organisation works and their motives behind its initiative.

9. PLACEMENT CELL – SGND KHALSA COLLEGE

Placement Cell has been toiling away in all dimensions to provide top-notch jobs and internships. Starting from contacting the HR, to inviting the companies for various drives in the college, to conducting various sorts of seminars, Placement Cell has been working at a growing pace for students of the college.

For the session 2017-18, Placement Cell started with an Orientation Programme which was a huge success. Placement Cell conducted interviews for selecting associate and coordinating members.

The Placement Cell looks after the growth and development of its members and had begun the academic session by organizing workshops on topics such as cold calling and email writing.

Up till now we have been able to convert 45+ companies for internships, which include names such as Mirus, Leverage Edu, Qrius, DU Insights, People Kapital for profiles as such as HR Intern, Marketing Intern, Business Development Intern and NGOs like Win over Cancer, Aiesec and Aspire.

We have given an opportunity to the students to enter into the corporate world by inviting companies such as FIS, Genpact, L&T Construction, Inshorts, iimjobs, Finedge and many more. They offered packages as high as 4-4.5 lacs per annum.

Placement Cell publishes educational articles on its Facebook Page, twice a week, which would be much useful for students in their future.

Several seminars were conducted in college campus by Placement Cell, like GD-PI seminar in collaboration with IBS, Resumè building seminar in collaboration with Talerang.

The Placement Cell has also stepped up to fulfill its social responsibility. In collaboration with the NSS, it organised a seminar on ‘Rebuilding Hope’ which had speakers from NGOs like Goonj and Teach for India.

Embarkation: The Job Fair, 2018, was conducted by the Placement Cell, Sri Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa College, on 19th March, 2018. Twelve prestigious companies visited the college campus for recruitment of final year students from all over the Delhi/NCR. The event witnessed a footfall of around 300-400 students, out of which, 40-50 students got the final call letters, from different companies, offering distinct profiles. All in all, with standout reviews and feedbacks, the event was a huge success.

10. PLACEMENT CELL – KALINDI COLLEGE

The Placement Cell of Kalindi College, been in existence for quite some time, was rechristened ‘Kryptus’ in September 2017 with the induction of 15 student members in the placement cell team. The induction of the student council was to have representation of students in the placement cell to better understand their needs and to smooth the channels of communication and information dissemination. As has always been, the foremost focus of the Placement Cell is to provide the undergraduate students of the college with opportunities to intern and get placed in reputed organizations in the private sector be it multinational companies or the NGOs. A related challenge is to equip students with the skills to face the process of screening and selection used by potential employers.

In October 2017, a three-day workshop was conducted by T.I.M.E.’s group in the college comprising sessions on resume making, group discussion and personal interview by soft skills trainers and experts- Mr. Ankur Jain, Mr. G.N. Mishra and, Mr. Amit Poddar.

In November 2017, team Kryptus felt the necessity to provide students with a practical knowledge of the corporate world before the students could actually step into it. The Outlook group was invited to the college for conducting Internship Drive for the sales & marketing posts. Around 40 students registered for the same. The selection process included group discussion and personal interview. 25 students were successfully recruited by the company for winter internship.

In December 2017, faculty members Ms. NilanshuYaduvanshi and Ms. Indu Choudhary conceptualized and designed the placement brochure with useful inputs from Dr. Anula Maurya, the honourable Principal of Kalindi College and the Teacher In charges of various departments.

In January 2018, placement drive was conducted by Jai Steel FaciliationPvt. Ltd, a leading business & service provider offering job profiles related documentation, business development and support. 25 students appeared for the interview out of which 12 students were selected and placed successfully.
