Even after a week of elections being conducted, DUSU elections are still in limelight. From accusing President Ankiv Baisoya of submitting fake documents to AISA members demanding a case to be filed against Vice-president Shakti Singh.
A signature campaign was started by AISA members regarding a case to be filed against Vice-president for the violence done in Zakir Hussain College, Delhi University.
President of AISA Kawalpreet Kaur said, they have submitted a memorandum signed by 300 students for getting suit filed against Singh and other ABVP members who led the throng and indulged in rampage.
The principal of Zakir Hussain College, Masroor Ahmed Beg said that they have lodged a police complaint but it is not yet converted into an FIR. The memorandum acknowledges that on September 10, Shakti singh and his supporters broke into the college forcefully and erupted all out. They want an investigation to be done regarding the case and the guilty ones should be banned from entering the college.
The principal Mr. Beg confirmed that he has received the memorandum and filed a case but as Vice-president Singh is not a student of Zakir Hussain College. Any action against him can only be taken by police.
Shakti Singh helped outsiders break into the college, bystanders said those people smashed everything and hit everyone in their way.
