DU Admissions Update: Marginalised Students from Telangana gets top colleges

Out of 94 marginalised students from Telangana, 80 students get into the top colleges of the Delhi University after first cut-off. The students who studies in social welfare and tribal welfare school in Telangana made to leading institutions under Delhi University this year. All of these students belong to SC, ST and OBC communities.

These students applied in colleges like Ramjas college, Hindu College, Hans Raj College and Lady Shri Ram College.

What is remarkable is that all of these students who had studied from social and tribal welfare schools in Telagana got into the premier institutions of Delhi University in General Quota.
Delhi University received as many as 3 lakh registerations when it threw open the admission portal for various graduate courses on may 15 that ended on June 7. The maximum number of applicants are from delhi followed by uttar Pradesh, Haryana, bihar and rajasthan, the data showed.
The minimum number of candidates who registered themselves are from Karnataka which is followed by chandigarh, arunachal Pradesh , Gujarat and tamil nadu.

Out of all the registerations, there are 144248 male applicants , 134297 are women applicants and other applicants are 29.
