The University of Delhi, also known as Delhi University, DU is India’s largest institution and among the largest in the world. It was established in 1922 and has 83 colleges and 16 faculties under it. Its main functions are divided among academic departments of the university and affiliated colleges. IT has 83 departments and the total number of seats that the university offers is 54,000. The University of Delhi offers undergraduate admissions for the various programmes on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in the qualifying board examination under 10+2 education system. The application forms are filled and then the university declares the cut-off for the admission process. The candidates who meet the required cut-off reports to the respective colleges for document verification and other things and finally secures admission. 1. St. Stephen’s College

One of the oldest colleges of the Delhi university it was founded in 1881, and is the Alma mater to famous personalities like, Shashi Tharoor, Khushwant Singh, and Barkha Dutt to name a few. The programs offered are: B.A and B.Sc.

2. Lady Shri Ram College For Women

Established in1956 by the Late Lala Shri Ram in memory of his wife the college is one of the best under Delhi University.

3. Miranda House

Set up in 1948, as a women’s educational institution it offers courses in science and liberal arts and has also pioneered the first computer-based resource centre for students who are visually challenged. It was rated as the best college in India in National Institute Ranking Framework for the year 2017. The programs offered are: B.A and B.Sc.

4. Shri Ram College of Commerce

5. Hindu College
