Earlier on 2nd March 2021, CBSE released a datesheet for 10th and 12th board examinations which notified that the examinations would commence from 4th May 2021. Now, on 5th March 2021 the Central Board of Secondary Education announced a revised datesheet which is now available in the official website of CBSE i.e. cbse.nic.in.
The rescheduled datesheet notifies that the conduction of examinations will begin from 4th May and end on 14th June 2021. There are several changes in the datesheet including the revision of examination dates.
For class 10th, the Geography paper has been postponed to 3rd June, Mathematics paper to 4th June and Science paper to May 21. Other than this date of examination for French, German, Arabic, Sanskrit, Malayalam, Punjabi, Russian and Urdu for class 10th has also been revised.
The exams for class 10th will be held from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. However, it should be noted that the duration of time for each paper has been indicated in the datesheet. Answer books would be distributed to candidates between 10:00 AM to 10:15 AM. Students need to write their particulars in the answer book. Particulars will be checked and signed by the assistant superintendent.
For class 12th, there has been a change in Physics paper which is postponed to June 8. Also, Mathematics and Applied Mathematics exam will be conducted on May 31. Additionally the new schedule shows no exams will be held on May 13 and 14 for class 12 students. Also, the dates for History and Banking exams have also been revised. The examinations for class 12th would be conducted in 2 shifts. The timings of the second shift is from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
The students and parents are advised to check and download the revised time table at the earliest. It is also recommended to check the official website of CBSE for updates. The CBSE Result 2021 for 10th & 12th will be announced on July 15. “Sufficient time has been given between the examinations of two main subjects in both classes X & XII. This will reduce the stress of the students and help them in better preparations for the examinations,” said CBSE on its official Twitter website.
