5-6 PSU’s to be Privatized by the end of December 2021
According to Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM) Secretary Tuhin Kanta Pandey, the government would solicit financial bids for the privatization of five to six public sector undertakings (PSUs) in December-January and finalize these deals in the current fiscal year.
Pandey stated at the Global Economic Policy Summit that after 19 years, the privatization of five to six PSUs will take place this year.
The government plans to privatize BEML, Shipping Corporation of India (SCI), Pawan Hans, Central Electronics, and Nilachal Ispat Nigam this year, he added.
