On Monday, All India Student’s Association (AISA) lodged a criticism with the University of Delhi officials against Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) members for “exploiting” the logo to promote private universities among who are seeking for admissions.
The socialist student group stated that the ABVP, which holds a post of joint secretary and secretary in DUSU (Delhi University Student Union) have been seen circulating the union’s broucher and also the advertisements of private universities like Manav Rachna, Amity, Global Business College, Apeejay and “many more”.
In its criticism reported to Vice Chancellor and the Dean, Students Welfare, the All India Student’s Association (AISA) stated that the broucher scattered carried the messages in names of these varsity officials and also from 2 ABVP Union members- Uma Shankar and Mahamedhaa Nagar.
The group, connected with Communist Party of India- Marxist- Leninist said that this is a big scam where money has been taken from private universities for promoting them via DU information bulletins. The office of DU is being used money rinse by ABVP.
AISA in its complaint letter said that they are highly confounded by the fact that all… Offense is being done in full knowledge of university but sadly, it has maintained a silence on the issue.
It is also said that criticism has been filled with local police against the “illegal use of Delhi University logo”.
However, DSW Rajesh Tandon told IANS that the matter has been forwarded to the “persons concerned” and a reply is anticipated from them.
